2011 Spring Bike Count Kickoff

Tempe’s first ever Bike Count kicks off today and runs through Thursday. This is a big step forward for bicycle advocacy in Tempe and the metro area. This and future counts will increase our ability to advocate for more and better cycling infrastructure.

Thanks to Jenn and Sam for all their hard work getting this set up, and a big thank you to all of the people who are volunteering. Now it’s time to count!

Details on the bike count are here, including a link to the volunteer intersection assignments: https://www.biketempe.org/events/bike-count/

  1. Counting at University and Ash was an interesting experience. I posted a few links to blog entries about the counting experience. Congratulations to TBAG for organizing and pulling off such a great advocacy event. I’m looking forward to hearing about the outcomes.
