Want to help out at this year’s Tempe Tour de Fat on October 13th @ Tempe Town Lake?

In addition to the good karma that comes with helping raise money for bicycle advocacy in the greater PHX metro area, you’ll have a great time pouring beer, selling TdF gear and spreading the love. Plus, you get a Tour de Fat shirt and will drink for free when you’re not volunteering. How could you pass this up?

Take a look at the info below (click “Read the rest of this entry”) and then email with the required details to:
volunteer@biketempe.org

Tempe Tour de Fat Volunteer info:

What do we need volunteers to do? Set-up, tear-down, pour beer, collect money, check IDs, distribute water, and marshal the bike parade. Shifts are two hours long and run from noon – 6 PM (setup @ 8:30 AM and tear down is post-event starting at 6 pm).

When do we need help? October 13, 2007 (Parade at 11, Beer and music at noon)

Where is Tour de Fat? At the Tempe Beach Park at Tempe Town Lake

Why should you volunteer? The proceeds from Tour de Fat are going to three local bicycle advocacy groups: Tempe Bicycle Action Group, Mountain Bike Association of Arizona, and the Bicycle Saviours. In addition to helping to raise money for your favorite local bicycle nonprofit, you’ll get a phat Tour de Fat shirt and will drink for free when you’re not volunteering. (Yes, you may drink prior to your volunteer shift, but not during.) Plus, it’s an absolute blast!

If you’re interested (and we know you are), please send the information below to volunteer@biketempe.org. The volunteer slots are first-emailed, first-served, so get back to us soon!
